my food post
there. am doing what i promised kay. i keep my work wan.. suppose to post about food that will cheer me up. actually right, food doesn't cheer me up. not really anyway. i rely mostly on people and books. or tv shows. heh. i admit, i am somewhat of a tv addict. the problem is that my parents don't allow me to become a full-fledged one. heh. so, getting back to my food post, i'll just post about food i enjoy.
1) soup
i think most people who knows me saw this coming. hee. don't think i can live without soup(that was an exaggeration lah, but you get the point). i love it boiling hot so i can blow and drink it slowly. sometimes, if i really feel like drinking, i just make marmite/bovril soup or the campbell's mushroom soup. then get a book(this part is difficult, as most of my books i have read more than 3 times. I need new books!) and slowly drink it. but this doesn't mean i can just drink any kind of soup. still got my standard wan.
2) ice-cream
i think everyone loves ice-cream. who doesnt? but there are sometimes when i dont feel like eating them. especially after i just finished eating something very jelak-ing. hee. am more of a savoury person. but eating ice cream while it rains outside is the best.
3) pancakes
i love this in the evenings, after my finishing my work. i'll just tell my family that am making it. most of the time they agree since they want to eat it too. lately have been doing it quite often. or rather more often than last time lah. my pancakes must be thin, learnt from my daddy. thin and a lil bit burnt, with honey and butter.
4) steamboat
is this counted under soup? nevermind. yeah. i love steamboat i guess mainly because of the soup. haha. i love my mom's steamboat because i get to choose my own ingredients and stuff like that. of course that means i have to wash up too lah. but my mom normally does steamboat when she wants to invite friends over. and washing up with friends isn't so bad. i just had it last sunday actually.
5) depends on cravings
like i said, i dont really have particular foods that i like. depends on my random cravings. i know.. a few people told me i am like a pregnant woman. am training you for future wives kay. or for putting up with your sisters/best friends next time. hee. a few of my random cravings-
a) mcdonald's porridge
i know i know. whoever orders mcdonald's porridge? i do lah.. when i feel like i want something hot and salty.
b) secret recipe's banana choc
this i hardly get to fulfill 'cause unless some kind hearted soul is willing to treat me, i don't have cravings so badly to pay that much for a slice of cake. my allowence not that much kay.
c) secret recipe's lamb pie
tried it once when i took my mom out for her birthday treat. from time to time i will feel like eating it.
lah.. still got a lot of random ones here and there from time to time. no need to write down all lah. heh. so when i get pregnant, i guess a lot of people would already be able to put up with me.

today i shall post about samantha edwin galan. since i think most of you are deprived the joy of meeting her.
more fondly known as tata.
she is the cheekiest, cute, round-tummied lil girl i've ever met i tell you.
she's three this year. and she talks so much. she has a brother- 13 years old, and 2 sisters- 10, and 12 years. they're home-schooled too and they live opposite my house. i knew them before they shifted in. we showed them their current house now.
as for tata being so talkative, all credit goes to them .
her brother teaches her this,
"yo, diggy-dog!"
one of her sisters teaches her this,
"what-eh-verrr..."
when her siblings are doing they're work, and if they're mother scolds them, she will imitate also.
pointing to the books she goes...
"all wrong, all wrong! do again!"
"your handwritinnnggggg...!"
mind you, she's three years old.
her sisters arent allowed to come to my house without bringing her. when she comes, she specifically asks to play masak-masak. yes, i still have my masak-masak set.
those were the times when you show her your handphone light and she gets all excited. nowadays, she wants to hear the songs in the phone.
a few days ago i was wanting to got some pictures of her. made her keep still and everything, till she said "no no. i dowan to take anymohhhh....."
since she liked talking on the phone, i bribed her with that. i took my handphone and called it from the house phone. made my sister talk on the other line.
she used to call me natalie edwin galan. since all her siblings have the same surname. till i taught her i am natalie ng wei pei. she still remembers till now.
a few days ago, my sister dressed her up in my old macarenna(if that's how you spell it) kindergarten costume, and taught her how to dance it.
i would like to post the pictures up but i cant. the pictures all just goes to the top of the post. dont know how to get it down. ryan taught me. but it just wouldnt do what it suppose to do. anyway.. back to tata.
i cant really explain her cuteness because most of it comes out in her conversation with you.
and her behaviour.
so this post is dedicated to tata edwin galan who doesnt even know what all this is about.
oh well, when she grows older, i'll show her the post.
p/s her favourite song is 'before the world began', though she sings it out of tune and totally off key.
